FAQ
What is your wedding photography style?
I focus on natural, authentic storytelling, but with a healthy portion of fun and romance. I'm not into any heavy posing or contrived set-ups, just some gentle direction is provided if required. Take a look at some of my work to get a feel, - my main focus is capturing the emotion of the day naturally but beautifully. My palettes evoke memories of ageless film and has been described as warm and cosy and intimate and relaxed.
How many photos will I recieve?
The number of images will depend on the coverage but typically for full day coverage 700-1100 is normal. Although I do take lots more I'm careful to remove mis-shots, duplicates and those ones where you're pulling a weird expression!
Do I have to order prints through you?
In brief no. You're free to get your own prints and products wherever you want. I would make some recommendations on print labs though if you're looking for quality prints to display.
You will receive high resolution files so you can print as big as you can imagine.
Do you provide wedding books?
Yes of course! I would naturally recommend you have a professionally designed and printed wedding book if your budget allows. These photos look amazing printed in HD and of a professional quality that will last a lifetime. I'm happy to design and order your wedding book for up to 18 months after your wedding. So no pressure to decide right away when booking a package.
What happens before and after our wedding?
About a month before your wedding I like to meet to go through the final details such as timings, locations and group shots. This gives me all of the information I need and ensures I am fully prepared! After the big day it can take between 2-8 weeks to edit all your photos but I'll always aim to get some sneak peeks on social media in the meantime.
What about formal photos?
Nearly all weddings require a certain amount of traditional group photos, and they are still an important part of the day. From experience I would suggest limiting a list to essentials for the sake of everyone's patience! Allow 3-4 minutes at least for each shot and it really helps to appoint a responsible helper who knows who's who.
How do I recieve my photos?
Each wedding gallery includes a special wooden USB box which holds all of your edited images. Your wedding will also include an online gallery to view your entire set and allow yourself and your guests to purchase prints and other products if they wish to.
What locations do you cover?
I would love to cover your wedding wherever it is. For weddings over 50 miles from Colchester or Ipswich. I may have to add travel and/or accommodation costs to your package.
