Ok so its a new year and I'm finally getting around to my blog! oh dear.
But I'm determined to rack my memory for all the details to bring you some highlights for 2016, and where better to start that back in late July with the special day of Sophie and Chris at Crabb's Barn.
I knew when I first met Sophie & Chris over a drink we would make a good fit. Sophie was very relaxed (and very organised I must say!) and both bride and groom wanted a chilled out and enjoyable summer wedding day to remember for all their guests.
With lots of gorgeous outside space and a non stuffy vibe Crabb's Barn Wedding Venue was the idea choice. The guests enjoyed afternoon tea outside on what must have been one of the hottest days of the year! Not to complain but to be honest photography conditions where not ideal! - very bright sunshine with no cloud cover all day, - this had me hunting for shade in the midday sun to keep exposure balanced and keep light spots to a minimum.
Sophie was not too worried about bridal prep so we got straight down to business with the groomsmen and ring shots.
The beautiful bride arrived in a stunning vintage cream Cadillac that certainly caught my eye!
After the indoor ceremony we snuck away for a few couple shots of the newly married couple. The harsh midday sun was very bright so we found a lovely country lane alongside the venue and a little tree cover inside.
Speeches where funny and emotional and it made a lovely change to have them outside.
I big thank you to Sophie & Chris and Crabb's Barn staff for looking after me so well, and suppling continuous icy cokes to keep me cool and hydrated!
