Martin & Hannah at Marks Hall Estate (The Coach House) / by AxL Photography Ltd

As I write this blog its a very cold and bleak January day, and its lovely to transported back the this beautiful summers day in Mid-August at the amazing Marks Hall Estate, where I had the honour of capturing Hannah & Martin's country themed wedding day.

The coach house and ceremony area at Marks Hall are completely gorgeous. I love an outdoor ceremony and Hannah & Martins little touches and decoration really personalised the venue.

Martin actually works full time as a arboriculturalist on the gardens and extensive estates around the venue which are a popular visitor spot all year around. Being able to work on your own wedding venue years in advance is something pretty special and Martin was especially proud of the worlds most level hedge surrounding the ceremony area!

The brides arrival was very cool, and a first for me as she arrived by tractor! From a farming background Hannah & Martin and family love tractors and normally found in a pair of wellies so it was a lovely surprise when Martin got his first look before the ceremony and Hannah revealed her new wedding wellies!

I have to say Hannah's boys Charley & Barney were real show stealers!

After the ceremony I took some time out with the happy couple to get some couple shots and let them catch their breath! We were wisked away in large cart (think of a stretched golf buggy!), another first for me, to the arboretum and main gardens on the estate. This was a great time saver as there are so many amazing picturesque locations on the estate I felt like I could have shot all day.

We hoped back in the to get some shots by the old bridge at the front of the estate. Bridges are always a winner!

Back to the coach house in good time to get the group shots. We had a very bright sunny day with direct light which can make photography a bit tricky so I was always on the look lot for a passing cloud or a bit of shade.

The long summer nights are idea at venues like this where kids and burn off some energy outside and evening guests can enjoy the evenings inside or out.

Inside the beautiful old coach house we had an amazing hog roast & the traditional speeches which were enjoyed by all!

The first dance was followed by a Ceilidh band and everybody joined in the fun. What a great wedding day!
